Lisa, Registered Manager

I started working in the kitchen at a care home and seeing what the care staff were doing made me want to give it a try. That was 24 years ago!

I progressed from care assistant to senior care assistant and undertook training to become a registered manager.

My role is very varied. I’m overseeing the home and responsible for ensuring the residents receive the best care possible. I also manage our staff team and spend time liaising with families and GPs.

I still love every single day and go home with a smile on my face.
