COVID-19 Response

Can you help by working in care?

The care industry is under enormous pressure as the coronavirus outbreak develops and urgently needs more people to support our vulnerable residents. If you are able to help, we need people immediately to work in a variety of roles within the care industry to help support your community.

If your job in travel, leisure or retail has been affected by coronavirus you could have the skills to succeed in care. We know this is a really difficult time for you but if you’re able to work in the care industry you can make a huge difference. If you’re compassionate, reliable and great with people apply now or get in touch with the Proud to Care team and we’ll answer your questions and give you guidance.

Care workers are classed as key workers, a role that is vital to public health and safety. The safety and well-being of care workers and those that are being cared for is of paramount importance. Care providers recognise this and will be able to inform you of what steps they have put in place, following government guidance, to ensure the safe and effective delivery of care services.

The health and well-being of care workers is the highest priority, so this means that interviews may take place over the phone or Skype where possible, and training will be done online, where possible.

Protecting and caring for vulnerable people during this difficult time is vital – any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
