Care Assistant

We are a lovely, small family owned Residential Care Home (16beds), looking for a Care Assistant to join our friendly team.

The Home

We are known for our happy, homely, non-institutional atmosphere and uncompromising standards of care. We have an open, friendly team of carers, with a cheerful, positive team spirit. As a nice place to work, most carers stay with us for a long time.

The Role
We have a fantastic group of fun, interesting & engaging Residents. Our Residents have personal care needs but not nursing needs. You will be assisting residents with all aspects of personal care & any tasks they are unable to do without assistance, promoting dignity and choice.

Shifts
36 hours a week. Most shifts are long days ( 3x 12 hour shifts of 8am-8pm). Extra day hours/shifts if wanted. Must be able to work weekends.

As a small team, the manager and deputy are very hands on. You will receive constant support and training from them to develop your career as a carer and to make a nice working environment. “Happy staff make a happy home” has always been our ethos.

Who will the job suit?

Someone who is compassionate, patient, reliable and responsible, who is committed to the same standard of care. Able to multi task and think quickly in an emergency. At least 1 year’s experience in care giving is preferred, but not required for candidates showing the right attitude and personality.

As a small home with a small team, reliability and flexibility is essential.
