Bradbury Wellbeing Centre
Our Club is a friendly and supportive weekly session for up to 15 members living with dementia.
The club offers a gentle and homely environment in which to enjoy meaningful person-centred activities. A large amount of support is offered to those attending the club, with a high staff-to-member ratio of one to three.
Whilst we provide these sessions, club members’ unpaid carers can have time to themselves,
The role
We have an exciting opportunity available as an events facilitator at our Bradbury Centre. The role will be to support the implementation of Guild Care’s vision to enable people living with dementia to live fulfilling, safe and secure lives. You would act as a host for one or more monthly social events for people with dementia and their carers to enjoy time together in a safe and supportive environment. Events include Sunday Lunch, Afternoon Teas and Evening Socials.

Job Requirements
Essential
Proven experience and a passion for supporting people living with dementia and their carers to live life to the full
Good understanding of the needs of people living with dementia and their carers
Ability to lead a small team of staff and volunteers
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including an ability to talk to a range of different people, including people who use our service, relatives, and staff,
IT Literacy skills and an ability to use Microsoft Office
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work evenings and weekends
Satisfactory DBS check
Desirable
Experience of working in the care and/or voluntary sector
Experience of working in a day service setting
Understanding of safeguarding
Relevant professional Qualification (EG NVQ, QCF)
