Job Description

We are always looking for kind, compassionate and warm people, who have a caring, social and outgoing personality and will be willing to help older people in their community with a variety of things in their own home. Driving license and a car is not essential, but certain degree of travel will be necessary to carry out the visits.

We do not look for experience in care as we will offer a nationally accredited and awarded training program, paid shadow visits and mentorship on the role as well as a great company culture and a very supportive and friendly central office team.

The most important part of caring with us, is offering reliable and consistent companionship and conversation. Our friendly CAREGivers assist with everything from a chat over a cup to tea, to helping with the shopping; from taking clients on outings or playing a game of Scrabble, to assisting with meal preparation; and where needed personal care.

Whether you are already a carer who is tired of 15 minutes visits and no time to chat with the client, or retired from a whole different career but would like to give something back to the community, or a parent who would like to work around your existing commitments, if you feel passionately about being a part of a care organisation and you would like to offer above support to our clients, please click on ‘I’m Interested’ or send an email to mine.goundouz@homeinstead.co.uk.

What are we looking for?

  • Warm heart, a caring nature and ability to build long-lasting positive relationships
  • Proactive  and flexible attitude
  • Personable, empathetic and reliable personality
  • Ability to do evening and weekend work DESIRABLE
  • Driver License and a car ADVANTAGE, NOT ESSENTIAL
  • Willingness to learn and develop in the role
